Fire shuts down NC80

Unread postby tireatr » Mon Oct 31, 2016 1:09 pm

Did an impromptu ride with an old buddy of mine from Weaverville. Rode up the ridge Sunday morning only to find the road was closed due the the attached. When I went back down toward Lake Tahoma, I saw a little 2' X 3' sign near knee level saying Road Closed WTH?

Anyway, it'll likely be ready to ride in a day or so, but iffin' any of you retirees were to ride that way anytime soon.....be warned!

So a car overheated, caught on fire, and set the forest fire. Those things should be banned from the roads we ride. They are dangerous! <grin>
