Here comes yet another Yamaha - it's hard to keep up! Looks like a heap'o liter bike fun without having to wannabe a racer. I imagine Yamaha will do well with this as they have with everything else over the last couple years.

They're pretty late to the party, given how long the Z1000 and GSX-S1000 have been out... the CB1000R even longer. That crossplane-crank engine sounds great.

Literbike-class nakeds are fun to ride, less so to live with day-to-day.

...or you could say Yamaha's 1st naked liter bike was the FZ1 in 2001.

The speed triple 955 beats the Yamaha FZ1 as well - I was only speaking to Yamaha's initial offering that was well before the FZ-10.

If they made a little brother that would rival the Street Triple R, I would be all over it. Too many bargain bin parts on the other FZ series bikes. At least they did the FZ10 right, but way too much motor for the street.

There are those who can't understand why the Yamaha XSR700 is only available in Europe for the reason you mention.
