My first oops

Unread postby PirateRiderBen » Wed May 25, 2016 11:06 pm

I was running good went to drop into a left hander and made a body position error ( I think) , dug the peg in or maybe center stand and the rear got loose and just came around man. Slid about 15 feet into a guard rail. At least that's what I think happened.

Bike is not too bad but will see what insurance says. I was happy with everything Except the transmission. Just clunky and sloppy and really ruined the bike. So may not have kept it long term anyways, we will see what insurance says.

Fortunately I am physically okay. Could have been worse!

Sorry to see that. Nothing looks worse than a mangled bike.

Damn that sucks Ben! Glad you're OK. Looks like it might have been ride-able if the clutch hadn't taken that hit. <scoot>

Edit: I wudda thought that frame slider would protect the clutch but looks like it didn't do much for anything. Shame.

Edit 2: Check beemerboneyard for parts--if out of stock clik "notify me when avail".-->> http://www.beemerboneyard.com/46632351675.html

Eurosport just completed an damage repair estimate for my insurance claim I will be filing.
10,721$ with tax and labor to fix the bike to new again.

So assuming insurance all total it.

So... New bike time? Haha!
