YESSSSS!

The bike I've been waiting for for a year and change may be on its way here.

Rumors are 430 pound wet weight. That's 15 pounds more than the CB500F i had, but with the 75HP/50 something TQ figures from the FZ-07 with a better comfort level for people over 6 feet than the little standards provide. And the SWEET V-twin like rumble from the 270 degree crank.

Conversion rates slot it around 9 grand, but I would expect it to come in mid 8's as the FJ-09 is only about 10 grand.

Oughta be a great solution for a lot of people... we've sold bunches of the FZ-07 and FZ-09/FJ-09, and other than the rear shock people love 'em.

Meh, the Yamaha dealer isn't down the street and I prefer to avoid extra trips across the state for suspension modification.

There's also the MT-07 Tenere which looks like it could be what a lot of people were hoping the Honda Africa Twin would be - an adventure bike with low enough weight and configured so it can actually perform off pavement.

Without boundaries, you end up with more money in more bikes, parts, and gear than you can actually use. This is complicated by the fact my speed is limited only by the risk I am willing to take. Extra HP is wasted most of the time. Nothing like accelerating uphill at silly speed with the throttle pinned at the peak of the HP curve just south of redline and the bike just won't go any faster. Just gotta draw the line somewhere. The new 2016 CBR300R in orange is sick, but tire choice is essentially limited to the S20 EVO due to 110/70 140/70 sizes. I like having 3 bikes with only 2 different rear tire choices and the same fronts on all 3. With two CBs, there are lots of interchangeable parts, too. Convenience and reliability are an integral part of responsible hooliganism.
