Happy New Year 2016!

Unread postby Brick » Thu Dec 31, 2015 12:43 pm

I wanted to wish All Y'all a Happy Safe New Year and more riding in the new year!

We will be doing a ride tomorrow on New Years Day... it might just be riding to the Cracker Barrel in Hickory meeting there at 9:00AM for bfast. Then some of us will probably ride some?? Not sure I know I will want to get home to grill out something tomorrow. <thumb>

Damn Bob didn't you get the flu shot? This is one year that I'm sooo glad that I did get the shot. Lots of people here have been hit hard by this flu!

Oh yeah, I got it, havent missed one in maybe 15 years or so. Pneumonia vacc too. And have been very fortunate too. But apparently I was exposed to a "non-target" strain. And there are lots of them. Some articles I have read say the current vaccine is maybe 25% effective at best. Still, its worth taking it. I am in day 6 now, still some occasional fever spikes and aches but mostly this god-awful cough 24/7. <banghd>

Yall enjoy the ride. <joecool>

PS--I took Tamiflu on day 2 and could feel an immediate reaction to it. I think what it does is make the first 1-2-3 days more bearable but after that its your own immune system vs. the virus. Still glad I took it.

Happy New Year! I might ride around some tomorrow for a couple hours but it'll be after lunch when it warms up.
