This is pretty cool. I power my "stuff" from my bike but a number of Ya'll don't you just rely on the internal battery. Well here is another option.

or get a DeWalt DCB090 USB Adapter and convert your Lithium Ion battery into a portable charging device then drill some screws when you get home.

(shameless plug for my company's stuff :) ) They are $30 at Lowes but I can't get the for about $10 if anyone wanted one.

Guess I still don't know your name... tireatr... I'm Brick... Dave Brickner. I power my stuff off the bike but this is a great idea. Of course I have a few questions. What are the dimensions and how do you charge it? Do you have to have a DeWalt charger? Does it come with one?

My wife thinks she needs one of the extra batteries to charge her phone... you know a christmas gift type thing. If she would just plug it in at home it would be charged when she needs it. She might think this is a bit "industrial" for her? <yes!> <dope>

Good suggestion.

Hey Dave. My name is Ken. I'll price the whole set up and let you know. The batteries are pricey if you are not already using one for power tools as needed, but again I can price it out for you.

Just priced this out.

5.0 Amp 20 volt lithium Ion Battery DCB205-2 (2 pack, singles are slightly more expensive per battery) $60
DCB090 USB adapter $9
DBC101 charger $17

All prices are plus tax

This unit was on sale for $50 so I bought one. Pretty cool...it'll charge electronics with USB ports and jump start the car/bike and has it's own chargers for 12V DC or 110AC. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018HR ... ge_o00_s00

There are several Youtube videos demonstrating it working so I'm reasonably confident about it. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... mp+Starter

Looks pretty tough. Might even power the bike continuously in event of a catastrophic battery failure--but the 13.8 charging voltage might mess with it.

That's the kind of thing I've been looking at too. Well doesn't that figure... I click on it now and it's up to $69.99 not your $50!!!
