NoMar tire mounting tip

Unread postby Bob » Mon Aug 24, 2015 10:37 am

Here's a trick I just learned, you may have also figured it out. Using the Nomar mount/demount bar, you know how difficult it often is to "raise" the demount tip upwards after snagging the bead of the tire so that you don't bend/break the tip when you lay the bar over. And you know how it has that handle you can adjust to different positions on the bar. I adjusted the handle so that its in position to lay over my right shoulder as I am raising the demount tip and I can just "raise up" a little on my toes and my shoulder pulls the tip right up! No more slipped demount bar lodged between your eyeballs. <grin> And its still in correct position for stabilizing the tip when mounting.
