Why I avoid riding in Virginia

This article pretty much sums up why I don't ride in VA. They ridiculously take money and hand out a criminal record. I will gladly stick to NC and TN for spirited rides.

I remember back in the day, when I had a CB radio in my company car and traveled a good bit, the truckers referred to Va. as "the communist state".

I do the Marion-Tazewell run on VA-16 once or twice per season. That's about it.

That is a run that interests me. Considering the dropoff, I wouldn't want to drag a knee, though.

I'll be riding up 16 all the way to Ohio on the 22nd. I'll be going to www.ridemsta.com rally called the MailPouch Fly By in Marietta on the Ohio River.
