Well, now that I have your attention, get your mind out if the gutter. Thanks to Bricks skill, knowledge, basement, and tools I was able to save money and learn something (I think?) when I got this bike it was poorly cared for the last couple years and had sat outside. We pretty much took the entire bike apart, cleaned everything, changed oil, coolant, and brake fluid. Then swapped tires for some new Michelin PR2's from jakewilson.com and swapped the rear brake pads in the process for a pair of Moose racing sintered pads I got from Williams power sports in Drexel, NC. The air filter got changed for a new K&N, and everything got a nice coat of grease.
The bike had been dropped on it's left side in a driveway, scratching the painted panel on the saddle bag. I painted both side bag panels with black plasti-dip. Turned out really well for 7$. I also swapped out the parking lights (or side markers) as one of the LED's had gone belly up. I ordered amber replacements from Jam Straight Lighting as that is what was in the bike. Someone there must have mistaken AMBER for RED, so now I have red led markers which I personally think give the bike a badass touch. I'm chasing around a couple fairing screws do to a previous owners laziness, but I borrowed a couple from the VFR till my order arrives from bikebandit.com.
All in all she's cleaned up very well and is a very nice bike and I am pleased with the purchase. Now it's time to rack up some miles.
