Interesting way to market to their customer base. Looks like they have already had quite a few of these events. Wonder what the new "R3" is like...? <pop>

Gary Lacky had the Roadcrafter lite on when he crashed and he is very pleased with how it held up. However it didn't survive the EMS scissors! [FLUSHED FACE] He said it is the right weight. The regular Roadcrafter is too warm for summers down here.

I found the same to be true for my leather HJC jacket back in 2006. Not a scratch from the accident, but EMS scissors cut everything. I would still rather wear something that I can theoretically get up and ride again, if able.

Yes riding in good protective gear just seems smart! They cut Gary's Roadcrafter Aerostich off because he complained of pain in his left elbo and his hip. They thought dislocations. Turned out just to be bruised.
Well in truth it was his left foot so that leg had to be cut open on the Stich anyway. It's the right leg that unzips all the way. So at that point it really didn't matter if they cut the rest of the Stich.
He still says that he knows the suit and his helmet Arai saved his life.
His Arai helmet had the pull down tabs so I pulled them out so the EMS could more easily remove his helmet. They were still concerned about possible neck and back injuries. That feature of his helmet was worth a lot. I'll be thinking about that on the next helmet.

It was really great to have all the suits and boots to try on! I really like the two piece Roadcrafter BUT it's too warm to wear down here in the south. They make a lite and ultra lite but only in the one piece. So I'll stick to my Darian two piece. They have some improvements for all the suits. There was nothing there to buy but you could order a suit. I did not. January Clapp ordered a Roadcrafter one piece lite! 5 weeks delivery time and lots of money. [FLUSHED FACE]
