That was the only redeeming feature. Can't imagine a cop in the US firing across a crowded intersection like that, though. They would let him get moving and then pursue. Helmet cams are just cool, ain't they?

My son in law is from Brazil, and my daughter keeps bugging me to go down there with them. Its a beautiful country, but plagued by crime and corruption. A shame. I'll just go to Hawaii if I wanna feel "tropical" in the winter, lol.

Grand Cayman is a ~3.5 hour direct flight from CLT, and doesn't suck too bad either

When I was working, a couple of years ago, I traveled to Brazil all the time. You really only have to be careful in the big cities. Out in the country side I always felt very safe. You should go especially if you have someone from there to show you around. It is a great country and very nice people in the smaller towns. At least that is what my experience was. don

Don, you are absolutely correct. In Rio, it pays to hire a guide to visit all the spots. And Sao Paulo with 10 million people is somewhere I would avoid. But the coastal areas are very scenic. I may get roped into going one of these days. But there are other places (closer) I would probably enjoy more.
