Be warned, the NC DOT has and is making a mess of Avery county roads. They chip sealed Cow Camp rd Friday and by the signs posted around the area and the NCDOT road Maint website, they plan to do more “improvements”. I am frustrated at why they feel that chip dealing a decent road is a wise action. The following roads could be patched ( preferred) or chip sealed

Spanish Oak
Trim Branch
Squirrel Creek
Little Plumtree
Big Plumtree

Of course I live there now, so they decide to do this. At least I'm on the sumo so it rarely matters.

My schedule made it hard in Winston Salem but I moved to Franklin, NC in April 2021 and now have a job in Linville, living in Crossnore. I do 7 days on 7 days off. During the cooler months, I went back home on my week off but plan to spend more of my off time in Crossnore now that it is warm again so should be able to join up. Let me know when you guys are coming up the mountain.
