Anybody here spent any time on scooters?

Unread postby flip » Wed Jun 16, 2021 4:12 pm

For a few years now I’ve thought about picking up a scooter. Not a DWI cycle but something in the 200-400 cc range. Just something to jump on to ride to the store, or run around town on. 2 wheels I can ride when my hips and and back are acting up. I’m not ready to admit defeat and give up on motorcycles yet but I think a scooter might have its place. I also thought a scooter might be a way to transition non riders onto 2 wheels. I’ve had some family members and friends ask me about learning to ride. Any of you own a scooter or spent any time on one?

Not yet--but if I did I'd opt for the larger cc model. Be sure to ride one before you buy.

I too have thought about one… I’ve never owned one but… I did share riding one across the USA to Athens, GA for the AMA women’s rider rally. It was Suzuki’s 650cc Burgman Executive. It was a ball.
