Yesterday Chris and I went for a small ride and while in Bonne, NC we were riding to one of the breweries who by the way was closed. We went around a corner and a commercial grass company was mowing with some, not a lot of clippings on the road. Neither of us thought about it and leaned into the corner. I heard Chris state, “oh Hell “ as his bike slid on the trimmings... then mine did too! No neither of us crashed but damn it was close.

In a straight line grass trimmings may not be a problem but leaned Ofer in a turn.., be aware!!

Damn, glad u r ok. I have never said you should pretend the clippings aren't there and lean like normal. I just find it amusing that so much fuss is made about something we contend with on every ride, like gravel, sand, wet pavement, slippery center lines, etc. So for the record: DON'T LEAN ON CLIPPINGS.

And the asshats who blow the clippings into the street aren't gonna change because someone posts on Facebook that they're a hazard. In fact, they will probably think "those damn motorcyclists think they're another entitlement group". Then they'll start dumping old motor oil in the street for us.
