SENA Update--new features

Unread postby Bob » Fri May 07, 2021 10:12 am

I just updated my 30K to v3.1.1 from the old v3.0.1. There is a new feature that might be helpful if you are hearing impaired--as I am. It is an "equalizer" setting with 5 settings, one of which is "Treble Boost". Sounds like it might help since high freq's are where hearing loss mostly occurs. It is only available if you check the "HD Speaker Accessory"--I don't have "HD spkrs" but I'm gonna try it anyway to see what happens.

I also think the new Mesh protocol works best when all units connected have the latest firmware version, so everybody pls try to update asap. I have noticed some increased garbled comms lately, not bad but more than I've heard in the past.

And if you've *already* updated, then maybe I'm a day late/dollar short. <olfart>

Edit: On the equalizer, the "MID BOOST" might provide more hearing help than the treble boost, after re-reading the freqs involved. It can be changed on the fly if you've paired the Sena to your phone and have the Sena app.

Ok I’ll try to accomplish this. So up the mid frequencies?
