Touring boots

Unread postby Buddhistbiker » Tue Jul 23, 2019 5:10 pm

Wanting to upgrade from my old Aerostitch Combat Boots. Looking for recommendations for a good quality touring boot that can also be walked in.

I really like my Bates combat boots and walk in them too. So I'm no help. <dope>

What makes a boot a "touring" boot...?

To me a touring
boot is something more comfortable than the plastic rigid off road boot.

I’ve been asking a number of people about a more comfortable riding boot. Something I can walk in. So far no consistency. ??

Yes it’s a real cluster. I sure there is a trade off between protection and comfort. My Sidi combat boots have protected my feet/ankles in at least two incidents but walking more than 50 ft is a chore. So far I am looking at Alpinestars Belize Drystar and TCX Airtech EVO gore-Tex.

The Forma Adventure Low has a lot of recommendations but seems to more for wide feet people.
