Looking for FJ-09

Unread postby NC-Canuck » Fri Jun 22, 2018 6:07 pm

1 year of college left for youngest son so time to get a new ride. Been looking at a lot of bikes the last 2 months - BMWs (1200 RT and the B), honda’s (FB6), Harleys (Sport Glide, Ultra), Indian, Suzuki, Triumph (triple) and Yamaha (Fz, FJ, star). While I am still working there will not be any cross country trips. Most riding is day trips. So have narrowed it down to a lighter bike (sub 500) that still has good power, bags, a windshield, and a more upright position that I can ride for 5 or 6 hours a day. It seems the FJ-09 checks all the boxes and from reviews comes out ahead of other contenders. Any other recommendations?

Looking for new 15s or 16s or lightly used 16s or 17s. The ST is up for sale or may trade. Kevin Powell in Winston has a 16 for $8k. Team Charlotte has some on website but none when I called. No rush to buy but ready to move on.

Sounds like a plan--whatever you do, be sure and test ride the one you "think" you want! <olfart>

I certainly love mine! I strongly recommend you get on the FJ09 forum. That’s where I found mine! [THUMBS UP SIGN]
