Intro - griff from Greer

Unread postby griff » Sun Oct 11, 2015 8:05 am

I got the Craigslist link for your club from a friend in Laurens. Another good use for Craigslist.

I have been riding for over 40 years, but really riding only for about 10 years, when I got my Triumph Tropy BBBB (the 4 cylinder version). From there I progressed to a Harley Road King, 03 FJR, 03 VRod, 00 Triumph Sprint ST and a 14 FJR. Currently have the 14 FJR, the Sprint and ole grey 03 FJR (155k miles and still going strong)

I moved to Greer from NW Indiana in June of this year, after deciding I could not take another dreary winter in the north. I retired from the US Govt. in early 2014, so there was nothing to hold me to Indiana. I am actually a Wolverine - Go Blue.

I enjoy day trips and long trips. Just took a trip out to Oregon to partake in the FJR gathering called the Reuben Run. From Oregon I came back to the FJR gathering EOM in Lewsiburg and got washed out - MSTA was there also. Came home for a day and went to SE Missouri for the weekend. So the 14 FJR is getting a workout and I love it. I have been riding with some local guys in Laurens, Greenville and Boiling Springs and look forward to some day trips (or longer) with you guys.

Welcome Griff. Interesting array of different bikes you have owned. Much better riding in the Carolinas than Indiana and 12 months to ride. There are some active riders on the Carolina Riders forum SC sub forum.

Griff,
I don't really care. I retired from OSU in 1999 and got that Ra ra ra crap stuffed down my throat for 31 years I'm pretty much done with all that. Now I like ball games of any kind because they keep people off the roads when I want to ride! <joecool>
