Intro Brick

Unread postby Brick » Fri Dec 21, 2012 5:50 pm

Well I'm now 66 and been retired for a while chop

My wife and I moved here to Western NC = Morganton, NC in 1999. Patricia and I have ridden all over the USA together and had a ball. I am pretty much a Sport Touring guy. Kawasaki Concours, Honda ST-1100, FJR 1300 but I've had a lot of bikes.

My first bike was a 1970 Honda SL-350 that I bought while in the USAF stationed in Alamagordo, NM... then BSA 650 Lightning... Harley '54 Sportster, ... 66 Shovel Head... 56 Pan Head and then I went Sport and Sport Touring bikes and have had a number of them.

I'll try to dig out some old photos and get them scanned to put on here.

I currently have a 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere" 1200 Adventure bike... I love this bike
A 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300 ABS (for sale)
A Suzuki SV-650

Pretty much am INTO the Super Tenere'... it's a BALL. The FJR is up for sale and I'll keep the SV-650 as it's a ball too.

GPS, iPhone, Sena SMH 10 blue tooth, SR10 interface to GMSR radio or whatever it is... Motorola.

I moved to riding heaven as even my drive way has curves and elevation change. ttghg bana bana

Let's ride!

Judging from the (very) little I know about Holloman AFB, that must have been a hotbed of exciting projects in that era Image

Yea, Holloman was "interesting" when I was there... but I was NOT interested. <grin> I was on my way out of the USAF... I had lived through my tour in Vietnam and Thailand and all the NCO's that were in my Avionics depatment were drunks and did NOTHING! They offered a bunch of cash to re-enlist but all I could see was so very many who did more work to get out of work than it took to do the work in the first place. <soap> Ok... ok... i'm off my soapbox now! No more <dedhrse>
